I know that there has been many ups and some downs in this battle against autocracy and cultish followings. And I knew, during the down time you would bounce back with the strength to do a headstand in the sands of hope.
Good question about Doomsday news and clickbait, because they absolutely go together inside a system of news-for-money, because fear drives the clickbait as much as curiosity and those two often gang up together. There is a much longer rant in me here on relating some religious trainings and crowd manipulation of the mind that orients many people to fear driven thoughts in a kind of daily manner. Never mind Sundays.
It's got to be done but it is pretty hard on people I imagine, grabbing onto what's grabbed on to them from so early. I had the great fortune of not being brought up religious at all but more people-hoodie as we say in Judaism. But I didn't know I was Jewish till I was 18 which is a whole other story, and which gave me a chance to bypass the early whatever it might have been. So I've been studying in various ways ever since especially at my present shul ('school' in English for those reading this). I E synagogues are places of learning, not imbibing, not brainwashing, and dedicated to thinking with heart and mind together. The problem is very much embedded in the proposed heaven and hell scenario so you set up to fear hell from the beginning. As if it existed somewhere else. Have a good night!
If you look into the period between the fall of the second temple in about 70 CE and the rise of the Catholic Church over the next three centuries there is a strain of let us say human creation organized around people's fear of the unknown especially the mystery of death. So in a bunch of guys in robes and skirts come to the conclusion that they can control things from this POV by declaring stuff that suits there control ideology, and in a climate of elite priests and where practically nobody else can read, you kind of get the idea how the gig was rigged from so early. Sunday School as we call it has been a time of inculcation into their ideas and whatever they say and they're supposed to mean in life, some of which are quite obviously good allowed by those guys and that threatens them don't you think?
Politicians should stand for elections, not run them! With independent oversight like our [UK] Electoral Commission. I think this would easily have the support of most people. If you get a majority in Congress, please, please legislate for reform!
Love the Statue of Liberty pic, although I’m actually a childless dog woman! Ollie is our 7th spaniel, a beautiful and devoted rescue springer now aged 14.
Positive spin is so needed...the majority prefer positive vs negative...if only MSM would get on board and just be fact based rather than "unbiased", which just means "bought".
