Lorraine Evanoff: Whether George W. Bush or Donald Trump, the President misuses the military.

Under classical, realistic international relations, a nation plans a unified, national, comprehensive five year strategy for: (1) Survival of the Democratic Institutions with balance and separation of powers and due process of law; (2) Protection of its citizens and residents; (3) Health and welfare of its citizens and residence; (4) Conservation of resources; (5) Boosting of interstate commerce; (6) Achievement of needs of citizens and resources by balancing scarce resources with growing needs of the people; (7) Expansion of foreign commerce and the nation's soft power; (8) Formation and preservation of alliances that boost the nation's democratic ideals and joint power; (9) Planning and allocating of sufficient naval and military forces to dominate and have exclusive control of seas and air to protect international commerce and to promote and PROJECT our national interests; (10) Using soft, not naval or military power, except in number (9), above.

Instead, a cycle of Presidents have squandered naval and military forces to fell Saddam Hussein, who was oppressive, but who was a counterbalance to Iran.

The Bush administrators of Iraq seemed, with the exception of General David Petraeus, to have little concept of the prevailing cultural values of Iraq.

As a result, we rid the country of any counter-Iranian interests.

Much (maybe a third or more) of Iraq is Shia and is religiously and culturally virtually ONE with Iran.

In elimination of countervailing force in Iraq, Bush STRENGTHENED Iran. It was a zero sum game and Bush lost it for us.

Now Trump bombards the bejesus out of Teheran and says, like Bush flying upon the aircraft carrier, "Mission accomplished."

According to Trump, we will bombard and maybe more.

But now, says Trump, is the best chance for Iranians to arise.

I do believe Israel (and the US) have bombed several layers of the Government and their successors in Teheran. Yes, I do.

But for the woman and man on the street, the Iranian Republican Army and Guards are mighty and packed with automatic weaponry. The Guard and army are ruthless.

There is no possibility for the woman or man in Teheran to stand up and start a 1776 Revolution. To believe that is to believe a pipe dream or to be on an acid trip.

The woman or man uprising in Teheran faces overwhelming DEADLY force of the Government, no matter how many layers we bomb over.

Trump mutters that he has bombed and the Iranians should just rise up.

That is the most absurd claim ever.

That is literally impossible.

And of course, for bombing Teheran, Trump should get his Nobel Prize.

Oh, my.

Meanwhile: ICE has MURDERED Keith Porter, Jr., Renee Nicole Good, and Alex Pretti.

JUSTICE for the victims!
