I've never been one to like crime shows. Never. Now I find, if guns come out, I go away. It's my prerogative. NOT INTERESTED. I don't care what the relationships are behind the metal. Love how your financial acumen instructs how you see this evolving and how you elucidate it for us. The rabid cornered and self-destructive evolution is enough entertainment, especially when someone can describe it as thoroughly as you can in under 500 words. WOW!
Lisa! I'm with you, as empaths, it's hard for us witness harm to others without feeling their pain. I cannot watch any kind of violence, even those wildlife shows, LOL.
Thank you for being so observant, my pieces are always under 500 words, so I try to be a succinct as possible, while still getting the message across, no wasted words!!
You live in Paradise! And those pics you take are phenomenal ~ thank you for all the beauty!
And unfortunately our BONDI woman finds herself not sitting so pretty - trapped in a hell they probably guaranteed her would never be her next big moment.
More sordid news. The media connections and history are revealing. I too am watching older tv shows and movies. Love the color classics. Now the new shows are dark and dark in the filming. Crime shows abound.
And your photo of the tree and water reflections is gorgeous. I think the tree is preparing to dance.
So true, Elyse, even the darkest old shows seem comforting by comparison to the new shows.
Thank you for the comment about our big pine trees. The fact that you see them prepared to dance is amazing! I run two dance companies pro bono in my free time, so that is truly a magical perception you made so many levels. 🥰
Yes, that Bondi performance was horrid, but I guess there was no reason to expect anything else! Thanks for the heads-up on Pureflix-I have watched a few of their trailers!
I watch a lot of historical docs. YouTube is full of them. That's some serious surf for SoCal. Looks more like the Banzai Pipeline. It's warming up here in Ohio. It's supposed to hit 60° next week. And golf season is right around the corner.😃
Beautiful pictures and those waves 🌊 had been really huge. Only when the surfer emerged I finally had a picture just how high they were. Thanks for sharing. I could listen to the surf for hours….it is so soothing.
Yes Jay! It's hard to get a real sense of how huge the waves are until you see the surfer at the end for scale. I thought they were 20 feet, but I showed my hubby, who produced Point Break, so he's an expert, and he said they were probably 14 feet, very impressive, probably a record for here.
14 ft is indeed some height for a wave that isn’t that far from shore. And I am impressed. Just looked up the movie, that was indeed quite a casts and successful production…
Pure Flix!? Seriously! Bondi could do commercials for them. The White Princess, hawking Ivory: "99 and 44/100 pure...the other 56/100 is so impure, it comes from the Jersey Meadowlands. Yes, Jimmy Hoffa body-rot, petroleum-refinery-contaminated-Superfund-Heil-ground is so toxic it can take the shine off my screeching gob. The only thing it can't clean is my Patrón's durty soul."
I feel better now. 😇 Invective therapy.
Amazing vid! I could never surf; the ocean is so powerful, it scares the crap outta me. It might have something to do with getting banged around on the rocks while snorkeling in Hanauma Bay when I misjudged the tide, and, thank the goddess a friend with me pulled me back, saved my life, because there is a rip tide if you go past the mouth of Hanauma Bay. Big R-E-S-P-E-C-T to nature.
Lorraine Evanoff: Ishmael's instincts are right -- Nature calls humanity back to the oceans, our origins.
I experienced Herman Melville's consciousness of oceanic origins (Moby Dick) through my childhood in Huntington Beach, CA with nearby Laguna Beach and Balboa.
The video makes me long to live near ocean instead of Mark Twain's storied Mississippi River.
Oh, Lorraine -- You are a voice with deep thought, friendship, and the freshness of Mother Nature in a time that makes my 1958 editions of Mad Magazine (I was 10 years old) seem like much better versions of today's News. At least no one was killed in Mad Magazine and no one HATED minorities.
We have the zaniness of Mad Magazine from the mid-1950s without its humor and innocence.
Near despair.
Pam Bondi, Pam Bondage.
Pete Hedgseth, Pete Hedgesuck.
Abandon Ukraine, launch naval and air warfare on Venezuela.
What could be next? Greenland. Oh, that's right . . .
Poland has a Prime Minister with the similar sounding name, Donald Tusk, but from the reports, I like Donald Tusk VERY MUCH BETTER.
I used to like to read the news to see how international relations would reveal aspects of a nation's five-year strategy.
But right-wing, Aryan-racists prevail in America and are fearfully present in France and Germany.
I prefer "One flew over the Cuckoo's nest" -- I love the scene where the inmates took over the motor boot, introducing themselves as leading psychiatrists on a scientific conference.
"One flew over the Cuckoo's nest," "Mad Magazine" make much better news today.
Sorry I don't have something more encouraging or profound, but we can only fight.
One of the biggest threats, after hooded, Stormtrooper (ICE) MURDERS is the Administration's raid on the 2020 election archives in Georgia. When one reflects Trump's comical, tyrannical calls to Governor Brian Kemp and State Secretary Jeff Raffensburger, I fear very much what the Administration will do with those records, or how they propose to change election procedures henceforth.
And then there is the constant culture of the bully.
Name Penn-Station and Dulles Airport after Trump . . .
The Administration is a poisoned gift that keeps on giving.
MAGAmericans, America, & the Global Village will see what happens to the stock market & all those hollering Lordy Lordy This Beats All! once the national strikes begin. If anything can peacefully shut down the monster-mouths of the Right, it's major, repeated strikes. And sure, of course, "they" will respond with batons & gases & kicks & water cannons & rubber bullets & flash bangers & yeah, at some point we'll have to add new names to Renee Good & Alex Pretti, but MAGAmericans are the ones who decided what matters can function without us & the time has arrived for them to learn not only that they erred badly, but to what extent. What a relief it will be for We the People when just these two miserable curs, trump (no capitalization. That's respect) & Bondi are tried, sentenced, & gone from our lives for all time.
We the People -- & the stock market -- deserve better!
"...Southern Baptist Convention that installed Ronald Reagan,..." that there is the crux, the instalation of the Power Brokers and Thieves...
The phrase captures a pivotal moment in history, highlighting how power can shape the fate of nations and idols. It's almost poetic to consider how the very hands that elevate leaders can also be the ones pulling the strings behind the scenes to our demise.
In the grand tapestry and "sleight of hand" of political theatre, one might wonder if it was truly Reagan’s charisma that won the hearts of the nation, or simply the machinations of a select few who decided it was time for a Hollywood star to play the role of a lifetime.
Ironically, while Reagan was championed as a steadfast defender of the common man, his ascent was orchestrated by a cabal of power brokers and financiers, proving that in the land of the free, the true puppeteers remain in the shadows, far removed from the spotlight yet integral to the show.
So, as the curtain falls on each act of this political drama, one can't help but chuckle/ Cringe at the notion that sometimes the storytellers write the script long before the actors step onto the stage. Hind-sight is 20/20: fore-sight-not so much: in-sight-that depends: Over-sight-clouded: omni-sight - the ability to perceive everything everywhere all at once, covering past, present, and future insights, is doubtful for us mere mortals, but I digress... -wolf

Have a beautiful weekend!
Words have meaning, each and every word. Nice to see you use them wisely.
You live in Paradise! And those pics you take are phenomenal ~ thank you for all the beauty!
And unfortunately our BONDI woman finds herself not sitting so pretty - trapped in a hell they probably guaranteed her would never be her next big moment.
Thanks Laura, it's my Zen space for sure. 🥰
Unfortunately for Bondi, not for us, she's in hell where she belongs!
YES!!!!
My mother watched every episode of Perry Mason.
Also I see you mentioned crocodile tears.
Pinky fingers to you.
Aww! That's amazing Malcolm. Pinky fingers!🥰

It's insane how they are not backing down on their obstruction, Fraser. Shocking. Glad I could raise awareness of Pureflix!
LOL! Perry Mason - that's what we watch every night at 6pm instead of the TV news! We've seen every episode, but we keep watching.
Robin! I've seen them all PM episodes several times over, this past few years, we always have a couple dozen recorded at any time, LOL. Classic!
I watch a lot of historical docs. YouTube is full of them. That's some serious surf for SoCal. Looks more like the Banzai Pipeline. It's warming up here in Ohio. It's supposed to hit 60° next week. And golf season is right around the corner.😃
Oh interesting, thanks for the Banzai Pipeline info. Love it, Charles. Enjoy the warm weather for Valentine's Day!

Thanks for your post and the beautiful photos, Lorraine.
I love the sound of the ocean! That could put me right to sleep and watching it mesmerize’s me 💕
