Not again...
It's Lahaina all over again 💔
While we’re not sure of the loss of life yet and praying for everyone, the devastating wildfires raging out of control have destroyed some of the most iconic Los Angeles locations. Seeing videos online of the damage reminds me of driving past the horrors in Lahaina when almost everything was lost.
Last night and today in Pacific Palisades, Malibu, and other areas, places like Dukes, Moonshadows, and Reel Inn are gone.
Last night and this morning were tough for us, but nowhere near as bad as our neighboring evacuation areas. Floofles didn’t show up, but neither did any other critters except a skunk and a raccoon. She must have been laying low, staying safe out of the terrifying howling wind.
Below are some images from our house this morning as well as some memories from a very recent visit to our beloved Moonshadows. Thank you all for checking in on us with words of compassion and prayers for safety.
Love, Lolo

Lorraine Evanoff: Good God, We are so deeply sorrowful for your losses, may there be no loss of life among your loved ones.
My God, I am lost for words.
I grew up in LA and Orange Counties; in the 1950s I learned of the strength of Santa Ana winds; but never foresaw that hurricane strength winds would thrust a wildfire massive areas of the best neighborhoods in California, which is tantamount some of the finest neighborhoods and persons in the United States.
The news shows overtowering, omnipresent and raging flames of fires that rapidly spread, overwhelming first rescue efforts to contain damage or loss of life.
Goodness, Lorraine, please take care of yourself; take care of your loved ones.
You have a community who are growing in love with your friendship and want to continue the good fight for years to come.
God bless you and your loved ones!
Stay safe, Lorraine. I grew up in L.A. This is not normal.
