And to think of all the things that had to happen to bring us here! 😂
I’m in the middle of Pinot Noir! I’m loving it so far. It was been a trough week and it was made easier because I was able to read your book!!
Thank you Amazon for allowing me to read it, even if I can keep it 😂 - Matt has started Foliage so he is hooked now too.
Happy new week lovely lady! (How many languages do YOU speak. I mean Louise is a renaissance woman!! If I could come back as someone else I would want to be HER!
Right? It really is so amazing for me to have found Substack, E. Jean Carroll is the reason I'm here. Her Substack inspired me and I'm so happy I joined.
That's amazing you're delving deeper into Louise Moscow!
There's so much there, so many connections, the new novel is finished. I'd love to send you a copy. Will be in touch on DM if you don't mind. Hugs to you and Matt!
I’m loving Pinot Noir!! You are a talented young lady!! I’m wondering how much of Lulu is put into Louise? Do you speak that many languages? Yoga? I know you are a lefty… so is this You in the novels? Maybe not the circumstances etc but I see a lot of what I know you in her! Bravo!!
I had a response that I started to share, much like calcium signaling between plants. Then I heard Paul McCartney in my head singing “let it be.” Therefore, I will only say, and with sincerity, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY.
Just watched the little doc, and loved it! Wish I knew your mom. She is wonderful. I love her voice, her spirit, her philosophy. I kept wondering how you both would remove all the paint from your faces, but that's just the way I am. 🤣 Thank you for making this - it's tender, poignant, and honest. 🩷
Yes! I didn't expect that at all! I have to also mention that I watched this while sitting out on my deck. Remember how your mom talked about watching the cardinals eat the sunflower seeds? Right at that moment a beautiful male cardinal landed on my feeder and just stared at me! It was amazing synchronicity.
And your comment about misophonia... I have that! I am so sensitive and annoyed by certain sounds, and have been all my life.
Wow. I love your mom. I love her originality, her voice, her strength, her determination to express herself and heal her hurts, and most of all, her survival instincts. She has certainly got them. She's aware of the world around her. I have gained much from watching this today, on the 4th anniversary of my mom not being around on mother's day. My mom was timid about her expressions in public. Can I adopt your mom? I will watch this again from time to time to see if I can inherit some of those descriptions I used above! Thank you for sharing Lorraine. What a gift and how beautifully you created it, in time for today. Much appreciated and will go into my diary. I really loved this!
I have been waiting to see this! Can't wait to sit and savor.
"But as we get older, we realize that what made us weird is now our super power." A greater truth was never said. We are who we are not only because of the lessons we chose but the people we chose to learn them with as well.
All I've got to say (based on what little I know of you and having not yet watched the film) is that your Mom must be something very special.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers and daughters - here and in spirit. You are the stuff of dreams and our hope for the the future. HUGS!
I write a lot about my mother, mostly because she works my last nerve the way only a mother can. Truly though that woman is my #1 fan and always first to subscribe to whatever it is I’m doing. Really love that you shared this and can’t wait to see the finished product.
Lorraine, This short movie is wonderful beyond words. Thank you for allowing us to know Jude. I fell in love with her the minute she began painting her face - but when she did yours as well, it was just over the top. How wonderful that you can play together. And beautiful a day can be when music touches it:) She is simply superb, honest and beautiful in every way, and you are blessed to have her for your mama💕
Gifts don’t get much better than that. Happy Mother’s Day!
Aww! Thank you!
You are very blessed!
Thank you Laura🌸💕
I’m so happy your Mom is fun!! And you got such special attention which made you such a wonderful person & I am lucky enough to call you my friend! ♥️
I'm so happy we're friends too Pamela! We're like sisters from another mister👯♀️💕
And to think of all the things that had to happen to bring us here! 😂

That's perfect! Music is the best. Happy Mother's Day!

Thank you thank you thank you Grace!!
Ha ha ha! It was just acrylic water based paint, came right off.
But I love that moment in the film where my mom just starts painting her face, the audience at a screening we did audibly gasped. 😆

I am so glad I watched your film.
NO. WAY. That's truly magical. I just got chills.
Re misophonia, did you see one of my first Substack posts? Here you go.
It's such a struggle, I'm so happy we connected!

Just read it. Thank you. It always feels good to be validated!
Exactly. I always felt like such a bad person but I was literally tortured by misophonia.
I just love this, Lorraine. What a gift. Here's to you both.
xx
Frances! Thank you for watching. It's scary putting it out there but it's all for love.
Happy Mother's Day to you!🌸💕
Love this, Lorraine. So much truth in everything you wrote.💕
Oh thank you for saying that, I'm so happy to have connected with you Kate. Big-hearted soul sister!
Back at ya! ❤️💙😎

Awww! Thank you for appreciating my unique mom. She's a trip! You can definitely adopt her. She was always everyone's mom in our neighborhood🥰

It’s so true it took me decades of therapy to realize our weirdness is a super power😆
Can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
Happy Mother’s Day 💕🌸
That sounds fabulous. And the party looked fabulous too! How can we see the doc?
Did you try to click on the "WATCH" button? Or even just click on the "poster" image?
I'd love your thoughts!

Well, Kristin, then we have a lot in common. It's a funny dynamic indeed.
If you have a chance, please click the button and/or the image of the poster to view the documentary. I'd love your thoughts!
I absolutely will!
Oh! Bless your heart, Lorraine. What a thoughtful tribute. I can’t wait to see it. You are solid gold.
Thanks Switter!!
Happy ❤️ Mother's Day. We all keep believing too!
Same to you Happy Mother's Day, Ann!💕🌸
Thank you
I just love what u say- Family is weird. It’s dysfunctional. It’s loving. It’s supportive. It’s infuriating.
Triggers abound.
Thank you
Thanks Kasandra. It seems to be universal, except for those lucky few 🥰

Valere!
That moment she starts painting her face is unexpected😆
It is so heartwarming you connected with this. Sending love and hugs and gratitude!!🥰💕
Jude is a treasure. And an example. This is what resonated for me as she painted her face:
‘May your soul be happy: Journey joyfully.
Rumi’
May we all be so blessed as Jude.
Oh Jude inspiring Rumi, that's poetry!
Just watched your documentary about your mom. You are blessed to have a mother who actually loves you. I can't even imagine it.
Love her music, love her voice, and I wish she were my mom too...
Thank you for this beautiful tribute to your mom.
Thank you so much AQ! That means so much to us, sincerely, you are part of our family now🥰
